Just wrapped up second series this season. One more series to go. Wow, what a crazy season. I certainly didn’t meet my goal of releasing everything within 24 hours, but I did my best and I’m happy with what I’ve accomplished.

Lupin no Musume 2

I started subbing this drama because 1) I really like Sherlock Holmes and the show’s reference to Holmes (however small and insignificant) and 2) I thought Mikumo’s crush on Kazuma would make things more interesting. It was certainly very over-the-top funny, so in that sense I’m happy with the series. However, I am absolutely not satisfied with the ending. I’ve always hated doing drama series that have movie follow-ons because I expect the drama to end in a cliff hanger. This series didn’t announce the movie until near the end, so I couldn’t even prepare for it. I just want a closure!

Gokushufudo

This was a highly-anticipated drama of this season and I have never read the manga, so I was curious to find out the hype. I absolutely loved Tatsu, Miku and Himawari. I thought Boss/Lady Boss/Masa was very well-made characters to support Tatsu. The comedy is definitely there and it definitely delivered. However, I was very annoyed by the president of the Women’s Club. Maybe she was suppose to be the meddle-some old woman, but I didn’t need all the fighting between her and Boss.
